LISTENING TO PODCASTS
A podcast is a series of digital-media files which are distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and computers. Though podcasters' web sites may also offer direct download or streaming of their content, a podcast is distinguished from other digital media formats by its ability to be syndicated, subscribed to, and downloaded automatically when new content is added. The dominant software client is Apple's iTunes player (available to WINDOWS and MAC). After downloading the iTunes program, you have to enter in the iTunes Store where you can download free podcasts
Here you have three exemples of podcasts I hope you like:

TEACHING SCIENCE IN ENGLISH: AN ETWINNING PROJECT
eTwinning is a framework for schools to collaborate on the Internet with partner schools in other European countries.
This year our school has joined eTwinning. Here you have the result of our project RECYCLING IN OUR CITY. The experience has been not so difficult as we thought six months ago and both, students and teacher, have improved our skills in English
We encourage you to join eTwinning. How to get started? It's easy: first at all, you have to register your school. In the registration form, you are asked to give details about you, your school and your project idea. To set up an eTwinning partnership, you need to find a partner and define together the topic of your project. Once you have found a partner and decided on the project you will run together, you can then register the partnership. You then have access to the collaborative tools in the TwinSpace. If you need extra information you can talk with Raquel Simó in the Valencia CEFIRE center

PUB & FILM
Hello everybody,
I have thought about going out to the cinema or maybe having a drink in an Irish pub such as St.Patricks or similar ...instead of giving the class or as an extra activity on Thursday or Friday.
The film that I think is good to see is En un Mundo Libre, besides St.Patricks is an irish pub that offers live performances and is full of english native people. So what do you say?? Would you be interested? We can talk about it next day;
Have a nice weekend.

Free rice & practise english
Hi everybody!
I recommend you "Free Rice" webpage. You can learn a lot of vocabulary adapted to your level and for each word you get right, they donate 20 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program. The rice is paid by the web advertisers.
It's part of the One Campaign, which is an american campaign to help make poverty history.
